Edx Education Family Christmas Activities – Week 3

Dashing through the snow, in a one-horse open sleigh, o’er the fields we go, laughing all the way.

Let’s celebrate Christmas with fun family activities this month. We have 3 Christmas activities to play. Let’s make snowflakes and search for Santa’s elves. Great for all ages to play, learn and be creative together.

Activity 9 – Activity sheet – Make your own snowflake from paper

Step 1. Start with a square piece of paper.

Step 2. Fold the paper in half diagonally to make a triangle.

Step 3. Fold the paper triangle in half so that the pointed corners meet.

Step 4. Fold the paper triangle in thirds, overlapping the left hand pointed corner over the triangle.

Step 5. Overlap the righthand pointed corner over the triangle.

Step 6. Use scissors to trim the paper triangle as shown

Step 7. Use your scissor to cut the paper with a variation of cutouts as shown below.

Step 8. Gently unfold the snowflake, remember snowflakes are all individual so be creative and have fun.

Activity 10 – Activity sheet – word Search for Santa elves

Activity 11 – Activity sheet – colour in Santa’s sleigh and match the shapes

Each week we will have more activities ready to celebrate the Christmas cheer. Let’s play and learn together…
